Pamir Times’ senior reporter and photographer, Asghar Khan, takes us on a pictorial tour of the beautiful Nagar Valley. Nagar is one of the two valleys that constitute the Hunza – Nagar district, the other one being Hunza Valley.
Hispar is believed to be one of the earliest human settlements in Nagar Valley. According to a local legend, people from Baltistan, who came over the Hispar Pass and down the Hispar Glacier, first settled in Nagar around the fourteenth century.
Hoper is another touristic place in Nagar valley presenting a great view of Kapal, Golden peaks, the Bualtar Glacier, know locally as the Hoper Glacier, its source being Diran (Minapin) Peak.
